During our 10
days of ministry, we will be partnering with non-denominational missionaries
Uriel and Becky Castrillon. Having
lived in Cleveland Ohio prior to their move to the mission field, they have
served in the Dominican Republic since 1998. You can find out more
information about them at
www.drmission.net. You can “friend” them on facebook from their
website.

This trip is a discipling trip, in which
participants will learn to depend upon God more completely as they minister
"outside of their box" of experience and faith. Participants will make
an impact, but God will change YOU in the process.
If you feel called to join us, we will
be preparing ourselves to do street ministry, drama, praying for the sick,
loving on the lonely, and sharing the gospel in creative ways.
Trip Details:
We will be leaving Cleveland on Tuesday, July 31st and
returning on Thursday, August 9th. The anticipated cost is
$1500 per person plus the cost for immunizations and your U.S. Passport.
If you are a youth 16 years old or older, you can join us
provided you have guardianship and release papers that will need to be signed by
your parents and notarized.
Key Dates:
April 15 – Airline tickets will be purchased, so all participants will
need to have a total of $550 deposited with the church. Tickets are
non-refundable. Travel insurance is recommended for all participants to cover
change of itinerary, flight delays and health emergencies..
May 30th (60 days before trip) – Balance of cost
should be on deposit with the church.
Training:
All participants on this trip are required to actively engage in the training
events we will be conducting on Sunday afternoons and evenings over the next 10
months. Training will include sessions on “Hearing God,” “Praying for People,”
“Prophetic Words,” Spanish culture exposure, Treasure Hunting, and others
Trip Sponsors:
Some of the participants (especially youth) on this trip may not be able to
afford the entire cost of the trip. We have several sponsors who have indicated
a willingness to help. If you would like to be a ½ or full sponsor, you will
make a powerful difference in the life of the person you send as well as in the
lives of the people they touch on this trip. All participants who are
“sponsored” will be asked to develop a correspondence relationship with their
sponsor to keep them abreast of personal development and insights, blessings,
and the actual work God does before and during the trip.
